Rather than defaulting to grand, faraway symbols, we carefully weighed and measured what to include: things everyone has seen, everyone has touched, from the blue plastic stools at a street-side café, to the familiar floral floor tiles of an old classroom, to the Reunification Palace and Bến Thành Market. And to soften the usual "seriousness" that comes with historical themes, we playfully sprinkled in polka-dot patterns and slipped a pair of seriously cool sunglasses onto a young woman in a traditional áo dài. A fun & playful twist that pulls the past right up close to the present!
